we have a new name--no more pink promenade ---yeah!!!! now i will say the new name with pride-up jakes and down mikes. it's just alittle thing that my dear uncle ted used to say whenever we would ask the question "where are we/you going" his answer - UP JAKES AND DOWN MIKES.
never knew what it meant, just always loved the ring of it, so funny to hear him say it
when i decided the barn needed a new name , i finally looked up the meaning and now i love it even more. it's an old English saying that means "none of your business".
actually, the correct saying is up mikes and down jakes but uncle ted said it backwards so that's how it's going to be.
you can call it "the barn", "the pink barn", up jakes and down mikes, jakes and mikes, the gals at the barn, just no more PP!
so, i never put up the barn show photos from the last show. that was only about 6 months ago--i am so timely with this stuff i can hardly stand it. if i remember, it was a lovely show, and as always, i had a great time with friends, family, and all who joined us that day.
